French Press Brew Guide

Brewing with a French Press
Full-bodied and immersive, the French Press produces a rich, textured cup with deep flavour and weight. By allowing the coffee to steep fully before filtering, it captures oils and fine particles that create a more rounded, expressive brew. A simple, slower method that rewards patience and consistency.

Step 1
Add 18g of ground coffee (coarse grind) to the French Press. Pour in 50g of hot water and allow the coffee to bloom for 30–45 seconds.
Step 2
Pour the remaining water to reach 300g total, ensuring all grounds are fully saturated. Give a gentle stir to combine.
Step 3
Place the lid on with the plunger pulled up and allow the coffee to steep for 4 minutes.
Step 4
Slowly press the plunger down with steady pressure. Pour and serve immediately to avoid over-extraction.
